Signature Commercial Building, Ridge, Accra
A corporate institutional owner commissioned Architects Afrique for a landmark commercial building in Ridge, Accra’s administrative core. The owner’s test was commercial as much as architectural: a building distinctive enough to anchor its address, efficient enough to lease, and documented tightly enough that the construction programme held. Because the practice carried both design and construction responsibility, value decisions were made against the drawings in real time rather than argued between separate firms — and the building was handed over on programme, with its decade warranty in writing.
