A diplomatic mission retained Architects Afrique for an official residence in one of Accra’s diplomatic districts. The brief held three requirements in tension — the sending state’s security standards, Ghanaian planning approval, and a residence that could host representational functions with appropriate dignity. The practice resolved all three in a single drawing set, sequenced construction to keep the compound operational, and completed handover with documentation reviewed by both the mission and its foreign ministry. The client’s identity remains confidential, as such work requires.
